Spiritual leader and Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Monday said that Jharkhand leaders lack vision for development and this was the prime reason why the State is still facing the brunt of illiteracy and corruption. He said that the leaders have no vision for growth and ruined the rich State for personal gains.
On his visit to Ghatshila in East Singhbhum district of Naxal-infested Jharkhand, he said that despite being rich on natural resources and human capital, large chunk of population is still underdeveloped and lack basic requirement.
Without naming any leader, he said that Jharkhand is the most corrupt state because the leaders here are so. “I can only urge the youth to wake up and vote, and vote for candidate who is honest,” he added. He also advised the youth to have confidence, stress-free mind and faith and advised some techniques like yoga and meditation to find solutions for all problems.
The spiritual leader also interacted with the children of different schools. He inspired villagers to bring the extremists of the society to the mainstream with love and not hatred.
In his address to the villagers he said that Naxalites are also human beings with a lot of dedication and commitment for the country. If they could inspired little bit of understanding of spirituality a lot can be achieved.
“We should spread love and brotherhood to win over extremism. We can’t blame our people for adopting such measures the system also needs to be changed. Corruption and unemployment are the evils,” he noted.
He also promised to open technical university in Jharkhand on the lines of Odisha.
