MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Apr 03, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- A global voice for non-violence, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is launching the "Violence-Free Stress-Free Society" campaign in North America, and will be touring three cities in Canada from April 10 - 20.
Sri Sri challenges the world to commit to one billion acts of non-violence. His campaign, which aims at creating social change through non-violence, encourages individuals to pledge one act of non-violence through social and digital campaigns for every act of violence that they witness.
"I have this crazy idea: a world without violence. With all the violence in the world this idea may appear to be hoping for Utopia, but we need to dream, and we will get there. If we instil pride in being non-violent, in being compassionate, in being helpful to others, our lives will take a new direction. And that should be our unwavering commitment", said Sri Sri.
Sri Sri's mission to unite the world into a "Violence-Free Stress-Free Society" by re-instilling human values has inspired millions of people worldwide to be in service to others. The world-renowned spiritual & humanitarian leader and ambassador of peace will be travelling to the Art of Living International Centre in la Mauricie (Quebec), Regina and Calgary offering various Art of Living programs and raising awareness for the campaign.
