Spiritual leader and founder of Art of Living Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be on a two day visit to south Gujarat to celebrate Diwali. He will arrive at Bardoli on Thursday to inaugurate Gyan Mandir. During his visit to Bardoli he will also visit Sardar Patel Museum on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Later in the evening he will participate in Maha Sudarshan Kriya and Satsang at Tadkuwa in Vyara in Tapi district. On Friday he will participate in a farmers meet at Vyara where around 1,000 farmers are likely to converge. The farmers will be informed about importance and methods of organic farming. In the evening, Ravi Shankar will participate in Maha Laxmi Homa at Anaval of Mahuva taluka in Surat district. Continuing with his Gujarat visit, he will reach Bhavnagar on Saturday. Discover the various layers of your existence

Having attained that, human life becomes perfect. There is nothing that you feel you don’t have. That perfection dawns in life. Siddho bhavati, amrito bhavati - you recognise that something deep inside which has never aged, never dies. Tripto bhavati - it brings such fulfilment. Love brings such fulfilment in life. Yat prapya na kinchid vanchati, na shochati, na dweshti, na ramate notsahi bhavati Having attained that, there is no more craving, no more desires. Na shochati - you will not sit and cry for anything, there is no sadness. Na dweshti - you do not hate anything. Na ramate - nothing else is ‘rejoiceful’. Nothing else is pulling you off your centre, nothing else is charming. Notsahi bhavati - then there is no other enthusiasm or excitement that can take you off. That does not mean you are devoid of enthusiasm - notsahi bhavati. You are not over-enthusiastic, not over-excited about anything. Yat gyatva matto bhavati, stabdho bhavati, atmaramo bhavati Matto bhavati - knowing which you become intoxicated; stabdho bhavati - so still deep within you. Atmaramo bhavati - you are reposing in the Self. Only love can make you repose in the Self, only love can quieten you; matto bhavati - only love can intoxicate you. There are so many types of intoxication, but the intoxication that comes out of love is the intoxication, the supershot. You are amazed, wonder-struck. It is baffling. Atmaramo bhavati - and it reposes you in the Being. The Rishi addresses all the three levels. Emotionally you get intoxicated, intellectually you are wonder-struck and you repose in the self. The three layers of our existence are the Spirit (the Self), the Mind (the Intellect) and the Emotions. How does love have such a profound impact on all three layers? Cravings, desires and aversions arise in the heart. Curiosity, inquisitiveness, enquiry are in the intellect. Joy comes out of intoxication. That is why many people get into intoxication or curiosity when they read all sorts of magazines or watch television. Everything is for the intellect - to calm it down and satisfy the urge of the intellect to know. There is nothing so wonderful, so awesome, as this deep devotion. Stabdho bhavati, atmaramo bhavati - is this just an emotional exercise or will it take us further towards the ultimate reality, the truth to Self-realisation? The Rishi says, “It takes you to the Self. Such is Stabdho bhavati, atmaramo bhavati - is this just an emotional exercise or will it take us further towards the ultimate reality, the truth to Self-realisation? The World Is One Organism

Our existence is not in isolation with the rest of the world. While this idea sounds spiritual, it is very pertinent to social and global situations that we see every now and then. When a house is on fire in the neighborhood, if we don't act, it is only a matter of time before the fire reaches our own doorstep. There is an idea found in many ancient cultures that this world is one organism. The microcosm is a reflection of the macrocosm. Just like within us there are billions of cells with their independent existence that collectively make up our existence, all the billions of people and other creatures make up the Being of this world. Today, there are many parts of the world that are on fire. Many governments and authorities, like in Syria and Egypt, end up using force in conflict-zones. While sometimes necessary in extreme situations, such an approach is reactive and often leads to complications in the long term. Taking care of hygiene and preserving health is easier than to go through treatment after the onset of disease. Just as we need to be proactive in maintaining our health, we need to be proactive in maintaining harmony in the world. A healthy multi-cultural exposure to children can go a long way in eliminating religious fanaticism. An attitude of service cultivated in young minds can be a preventive approach to tackling corruption. Therefore, proper education - one that inculcates human values and honors diversity, is necessary for sustainable peace in the world. Only a few people in the world cause terror, not the whole population. Of the seven billion people on this planet, there are hardly a few thousand who cause crime and the whole world is affected. With the same law, won't the reverse also work? Just a few thousand of us, being really peaceful, loving and caring for the whole planet -- can we not bring a transformation? One should not think, 'What can I do?'' or that one is insignificant. Everyone has a role to play when the world is in turmoil. A tiny homeopathic pill has the power to heal an 80 kg body. In the same way, every individual has an influence on this cosmos, on this planet. When we radiate peace and good vibrations, it definitely makes an impact. Those of us who have been fortunate to find some peace within ourselves, now have a challenge to reach out to all those who are not at peace with themselves as well as to those countries and parts of the world where there is conflict. The knowledge of the oneness that we share with the world can bring people out of their narrow mindsets. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar enlightens his devotees about living their lives with simplicity

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar visited the city and enlightened the public about what should be the lifestyle of a person and should people lead it. People also asked questions related to their lives, some tough ones and some easy. He is not only well aware of Art of Living but also about the art of answering questions. A function was organized on Tuesday at the leisure valley for Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Have a clear heart Question: Can I be like you? Have a look at the mirror, you are just like me. Just keep your heart clear and if you commit a mistake, accept it. Don’t hide anything. Do this much, you will feel good. Why do we fear death, accidents and sorrow in life? Give all your fears to me, I will take all of them and everything will be fine. Why do nice people have to go through the most pain? Who said that? You think wrong people don’t get pain in life! Nice people are not hurt because they are nice but because sometimes they act foolish and don’t use their brains. If God makes us do the right things then is he the only one who makes us do the wrong ones as well? If a person is in his senses, he will do the right things. If his heart is curtained by ignorance, he will do the wrong things. Meditation is the journey through Noise towards peace: Sri Sri Every person needs knowledge and philosophy in their lives and it is not important that he will feel its need only when he is in problem. Knowledge and qualities can be earned anytime and anywhere. The people already respect Shri Shri Ravishankar but also, they had the urge of taking some good knowledge or philosophy back home with them and he fulfilled the curiosity of the people. He also gave the tips to live a down to earth life. The devotees reached before time and were involved in the Satsang before the arrival of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. As soon as he stepped on the stage, everybody stood in respect and some of them could not control the emotions flowing through their eyes. The program started with the meditation. He said that meditation is not about thinking anything but it is an action which takes you towards peace from noise. There is a silent world inside you and the outside world is full of various activities. Questions from the public Who can be my soul mate? Sri Sri said that he was not the right person to answer this question and that he should first meet his own soul. ‘Once you will meet your real soul, which is inside you, it will search for a soul mate itself’ he told.
