Its a wonderful experience.. I am getting goose bumps as I am sharing :)
I booked my Berlin flight ticket (before even buying the event ticket) the moment I decided to volunteer for Berlin festival.. Not even a thought about money :)
Here is the magic that happened and I wanted to share..
Couple of weeks ago, a friend gave me a check for the money he owed me and he gave $1500 in excess. I asked him why $1500 extra.. He says I owed you for the expenses while sharing home. As far as I was concerned, he didn't owe me any of this money!
Today, I see a check for our rental property for this month as well as an additional check for $1000.
The explanation there.. An apology note from the property management company saying this money was accounted in someone else's property and it should have been accounted under your property!
$2500 unexpected money :) Guru takes care of not just ticket.. He adds tips too :)
My story during Silver Jubilee... I can write a book :) Its Magic to the power of N, where N stands for 20 times the normal magic of the Guru!
Its a realization that "Dene waala to Who hai!!" (The one who is giving is HE!)
Think of all the instances the Guru saved

Bangalore, April 26: Members of the Art of Living, founded by spriritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, paid their last respects to Satya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi.
Swami Sadyojathah, Director, International Affairs, the Art of Living, Swami Vishnupada, Trustee, Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth and Swami Gnantej, Programme Director, were among those who represented Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the Art of Living foundation
In a message from Germany, Ravi Shankar said, "Baba will be born in Mandya after six years and he will come into public life when he turns 18 years old".

KATHMANDU: The city of Kathmandu will be at a spiritual high on April 30, as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar — a leading humanitarian and spiritual leader — is holding a Maha Satsang at Tundikhel.
A dreamer of violence-free and stress-free World is coming to Nepal on April 30 afternoon and he will be with his beloved after a couple of hours of landing in Kathmandu. The next day he will fly to Bhairahawa for yet another Maha Satsang.
The inventor of Art of Living, Sri Sri ravi Shankar will help his devotees perform Sudarshan Kriya — one of the most beautiful meditation techniques — at the Police Training Academy Maharajgunj on May 2 before flying back.
"Meditation brings an authentic smile — a natural smile from the depth of one's heart. When one meditates, it improves observation, perception and expression of one self," according to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who had last visited Nepal in 2004.
"The much awaited visit will be a lifetime experience," said Gaurabh Sood, a travel trade entrepreneur turned a full time teacher of Art of Living.
The Art of Living Foundation was founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in 1981.
"The Foundation has chapters in 150 countries and its sustainable development projects, trauma-relief and self-development programmes have benefited more than 25 million people around the world," Sood said, adding that by nurturing the spirit of service and compassion in every individual, the Foundation seeks to build a global society that is free of stress and violence by teaching one of the beautiful meditation techniques called Sudarshan Kriya.
Sudarshan Kriya — that came into being in 1980 in Shimoga, India when Sri Sri Ravi Shankar went into a 10-day silence — incorporates specific natural rhythms of the breath that harmonises the body, mind and emotions. The unique breathing technique eliminates stress, fatigue and negative emotions like anger, frustration and depression, leaving one at peace yet energised, focused and relaxed.
Born in 1956 in Southern India, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was a gifted child. By the age of four, he was already able to recite parts of the Bhagavad Gita — an ancient Sanskrit scripture and was often found in meditation. His first teacher was Sudhakar Chaturvedi, who had had a long association with Mahatma Gandhi. By the age of 17 he had graduated with degrees in, both, Vedic literature and Physics.
A noted humanitarian leader, Sri Sri's programmes have provided assistance to victims of natural disasters, survivors of terror attacks and war, children from marginalised populations and communities in conflict across the world. His work has touched the lives of millions of people around the world, going beyond the barriers of race, nationality and religion with the message of a 'one-world family'.

Last Sunday, I was in a crowd that is the essence of New York City -- writers and bankers, shopkeepers and taxi drivers, Americans, ex-pats and immigrants. But this time, rather than horns blaring, cell phones demanding our attention, and people in game-face rushing to their next meetings, this mix of humanity that is New York sat completely still. 2,700 people had gathered together in Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall for the launch of I Meditate NY, a campaign to bring the rejuvenating benefits of meditation to New Yorkers. Posters were all over the city about this event, emails had been flying, and quite a buzz had been created on Facebook. Still, I was amazed at the crowd that was drawn together here. I even bumped into a friend from my freshman year, whom I hadn't seen in about ten years!
The event began with these written words from New York's Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg: "New York has always been a city where people of every background and belief strive to live together in harmony. Our residents proudly claim heritage from every corner of the globe, and our administration continues to promote innovative practices that help us all live longer, more fulfilling lives. That is why I am pleased to applaud "I Meditate New York" for helping New Yorkers refresh, recharge, and overcome the stress that can sometimes result from living and working in a city as fast-paced and dynamic as ours.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, 54, the Indian spiritual guru, said it was his first time in Times Square, as he walked up Broadway on Monday morning.
"It's a nice place for a stroll," he said. "A lot is happening."
Indeed there was. The Crossroads of the World was as hectic as ever, teeming with traffic and sidewalk crowds toward the end of the morning rush.
Mr. Shankar stood, taking it all in: police officers, tourists, office workers, vendors, bomb-sniffing dogs. Even for Mr. Shankar, who lives in the city of Bangalore, this might seem to be sensory overload: a news "zipper" sign overhead trumpeted items like "Long Island Serial Killer Taunting Victim's Teen Sister."
The guru smiled broadly — he always seems to be smiling — and ambled up Broadway, dressed in sandals, a flowing, white robe, and a tan, wool scarf. He has a full, dark head of hair and beard, and suffice to say, he stands out even in a crowded Times Square.
Mr. Shankar was in town to offer a workshop to inaugurate the program I Meditate NY, which provides meditation classes to deal with city stress. On Sunday, he conducted a program for 2,700 people at Avery Fisher Hall.
"There is so much energy here, you need help to cope with it all," he said, looking across Times Square. "When you have so many people of such diversity squeezed together, you need a lot of it."
Urban life would especially lend itself to his form of breathing and meditation, he said, with its goal of rejuvenating participants physically, mentally and emotionally.
"People who have a lot to do in life, they have a greater need to meditate," he said. "When you live in the middle of this hustle-bustle, and you have a lot of responsibilities and demands on you, you naturally have a greater longing for it."

During His current tour in the United States, Sri Sri had an hour-long meeting with Dr. Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations in New York to discuss about the peace situation in the world.
The Art of Living has been actively involved in many peace initiatives in conflict-affected countries across the world.

Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare today (April 7) received strong backing from the Art of Living Founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who described him as "the voice of millions of Indians". "He is the voice of millions of Indians", Sri Sri said in a statement, extending his full support to the movement against corruption spearheaded by Hazare. "I sincerely hope that the Prime Minister takes immediate steps to form the joint committee for the Lokpal Bill. "I have known Anna Hazare for the last 25 years. The Art of Living Foundation and I have always stood with him in his fight against corruption and work in social transformation", he said. |

India Against Corruption
Corruption is happening every minute and at almost every possible level of the system in India right now. Together, we have the power to remove it from its roots, and make India the starting point of action against corruption across the world. But to make that possible, we need to ask ourselves the following 3 questions…
1. Why is corruption happening?
It's happening because of poor laws and policies in the government, which keep changing according to the whims and fancies of politicians and get mended according to what suits them best.
Guruji says, it's happening because of lack of belongingness and the only obvious cure is Spirituality which can bring back the Human Values. Corruption happens because people don't feel that they belong to each other. "apne hi hai sab log". No one would want a bribe from his own family member would they? Every action arises out of our own thought, and self purification is the cure. To feel that belongingness, Self purification is required. Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Sudarshan Kriya, Seva, Satsang, Silence and Grace can bring about that transformation in an individual and hence in society.
2. Is there any solution to corruption?
Yes!
The first thing is to eliminate corruption at your own level. Say no to bribes; join hands to fight corruption through marches, awareness campaigns and mass vote. For the India Against Corruption movement, the solution is to lay strict Anti Corruption rules by the formation of the Jan Lokpal Bill by the citizens.

3. What can I do? How do I contribute to this movement?
a. Join the India Against Corruption movement, by giving a missed call to 022 61550789 (we need at least 25 Lakh missed calls, around 5 Lakh are done so far). We will SMS you a message from Anna and others, on what you can do today, and every day.
b. Stay in touch with minute-by-minute progress, join us on facebook.
c. Spread this message. Write on your facebook walls, publish this article on your blog. Print it out and stick it in your lifts and office notice boards. Do whatever it takes to get it to the public at large. Invite people to join Anna at the Jantar Mantar Event. Do anything and everything in your capacity! Our nation needs LAKHS to join Anna at Jantar Mantar!
