Sri Sri Ravishankar to visit state this Diwali

SURAT: Sri Sri Ravishankar will celebrate Diwali in Gujarat with series of events across the state starting from Tuesday. The entire visit planned across the state is full of activities.

Focusing the rich Indian vegetarian cuisine and event Annabrahm has been planned in presence of Sri Sri. The event will take place in Ahmedabad in which more than 5,000 vegetarian dishes will be cooked. It is also being attempted through the event to register a Guinness Book of Records of cooking largest number of varieties.

"All the dishes, part of the event, will be cooked by members of the Art of Living Foundation at their residences. The cooked food will be offered to around 40,000 slum children of Ahmedabad," Rishi Nityapragya said.

On Wednesday, Lakshmipujan will be carried out in Rajkot on the occasion of Dhanteras in presence of Sri Sri. A Mahasatsang will follow the Lakshmipujan. Sri Sri will inaugurate a Krishi Mela in Palanpur on Thursday. The Krishi Mela has been organised to spread awareness about organic farming. Later in the evening on Thursday, Sri Sri will participate in a gathering of around 1,000 NGOs. At the gathering, welfare planning across the state will be carried out.

On Friday, Mahalakshmi yagya and Dipawali puja will be carried out in Vadodara in the presence of Sri Sri. From Saturday to Monday, advance meditation course will be conducted by Sri Sri in Vadodara.
