Guruji is addressing the graduating class of Ayurveda doctors.

Education never stops. Until now, you were learning inside the classroom. Now you are going to learn outside class room – in the world.

What are the Signs of an educated person?

• Confidence and Courage: If you show fear, you are not educated. What is the fear for? It is the fear of making a livelihood – isnt' it? If you are educated, you will have the confidence that you can survive anywhere.

  
  
• Compassion: If you are not compassionate, you are not educated.

  
  
• Courtesy: An educated person will have common courtesy.

  
  
• Commitment: You should go all out to fulfill your commitment to your profession. As doctors you are committed to bringing good health to society.

  
  
• Creativity: You need to do something creative. For example, your souvenir is so interesting. Usually, these things are boring – but your souvenir is very interesting and creative. This is how you should be creative. Creativity does not mean that you have to create something new always. It is good if you do. You also can expand on what you have already. There are docs who have clinics and are happy. Others have expanded their practice and are very successful. The 21^st century will be the century of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is very poetic – no other science has poetry. There is a shloka for everything. Spend your time learning some of these shlokas. It will be useful. What I found interesting is that the old vaidyas, sing poetry when asked to speak of Ayurveda. No other medical system can sing a song when asked to give a medicine. Your system is so musical and creative.
  
  

These are the signs of being educated. Always keep learning. You are so privileged. Today everything is available on the tips of your fingers. On your laptop everything is available. You don't have to take the trouble to go to the library even to get information. The previous generation did not have this. We had to look for books and spend hours digging into the papers to learn something. Utilize this privilege and be of use to the family, society and the whole nation.
