Give equal rights to women: Sri Sri

 Sri Sri Ravishankar's Art Of Living Ashram looked like a conglomerate of foreign embassies on Friday as representatives from over 55 countries had assembled there to exchange their ideas and experience in various fields at the International Women's Conference.
The discussion eventually boiled down to spiritual approach to the subject since the conference was held at the Ashram.
Sri Sri Ravishankar who inaugurated the session along with other dignitaries laid stress on the conventional approach which the society has towards women.

He urged the youths to quell blind beliefs which have confined the women to kitchen in general. "Give equal rights to women, they have been proving their mettle in various fields. It is high time we lay stress on the scientific and technological qualification of women," he felt.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for Human Resource Development Dr Daggubati Purundeshwari stressed on the need to bridge gap to connect rural and the urban women in sharing ideas.
"Smart practices like teaching skills have to be brought inside the classrooms. We have developed a National Network Program, and will connect most of the schools and college," said Purundeshwari.
South African dignitary Lulama Xingwana, Minister for Women and Children who was with Union minister corroborated with the latter’s statement, said even in South Africa their government is thinking on the same lines and has already been sending graduating girl students to firms a during their summer vacation to give the women an edge over male chauvinist society.
On Women’s Reservation Bill, Purundeshwari asserted that it is her party which has got the bill in Rajya Sabha to see it through.
