Madras High Court judge Justice V Ramasubramaniam said the difference between spirituality and law was that while law 'resolved' all disputes, spirituality 'dissolved' all disputes. This came as a booster shot for The Art of Living movement, founded by spiritualist Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who launched its Legal Cell-Tamilnadu Chapter on 9th February 2016.
A legal cell can function well only if there is a spiritual organisation behind it, pointed out the judge in appreciation of the initiative.
The cell was opened to help the economically weak people clear their doubts and redress legal problems without litigation through telephonic conversations. The facility will work 24X7, 365 days of the year, including mediation process.
This was one of the number of social welfare programmes launched under the 'Pudhu Malarchi' initiative of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
The other welfare schemes launched on the occasion were Happy Child, Happy Chennai, Naganadhi river rejuvenation, rehabilitation programme for the flood-affected, development of Melanur village In Tiruvallur district and life skills training at Perumbakkam and Okkiyam Thoraipakkam slum re-settlements.
Actor Vivek spoke on how he met the spiritual guru, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and his project 'Lakshmi Taru', which involves planting saplings.
